Two Decades of International Arbitration Experience
Independent judgment informed by practice at the highest levels of international arbitration and cross-border advisory work.
The founder of International Arbitration Advisors is a Harvard-trained attorney with more than two decades of experience in international arbitration and cross-border advisory matters.
He practiced at Cravath, Swaine & Moore in New York, one of the most distinguished law firms in the United States, where he developed deep expertise in complex international disputes and cross-border transactions.
He subsequently joined the Paris international arbitration group of Shearman & Sterling, where he advised governments, corporate leaders, and international investors in arbitration proceedings and related matters across multiple jurisdictions and institutional frameworks.
Over the course of his career, he has worked on matters involving a wide range of industries, governing laws, and arbitral institutions — including ICC, ICSID, LCIA, AAA/ICDR, and ad hoc proceedings under UNCITRAL Rules.

International Arbitration Advisors was founded on a simple premise: important decisions in international arbitration benefit from independent scrutiny before they become difficult to reverse. IAA provides experienced external judgment to pressure test the decisions, positions, and strategies that matter.
The founder conducts all substantive advisory work personally. There are no intermediaries. Pressure Testing depends on independence, experience, and direct engagement with assumptions.
Questions may involve strategy, timing, risk, commercial objectives, arbitrator selection, or the broader international context. Some engagements begin and end with a single conversation. Others develop into a continuing advisory relationship. The structure is always tailored to what the matter requires.
